The number of births is higher than deaths. It"s getting crowded on this earth in terms of human population. 1844 darwin completed a draft of origin of species. He didn"t publish it until 15 years later because he know it would result in personal attacks. He also worried about how others would use his theory of evolution to justify their own status. Social darwinism has been used repeatedly to justify one"s ethnic group"s abuse or domination of another; if you are not making huge amounts of money, it"s b/c you"re inferior. Such attitudes involve incorrect assumptions about human evolution. Thomas henry huxley (arguing for evolution) debated the origin of species with bishop samuel. Huxley won wilberforce asked him if he was descended from the apes on his grandmather or grandfather"s side (i"d rather be descended from the apes than as absent minded as you are) There is only 1 species in our genus!
