Pollen analysis helps us reconstruct the wider environment (how environments change through time and how people interact with it) Artifact processing, bulk of rocks and careful process of finding neat objects. Pottery drawing: technical drawings of the pottery itself to reconstruct the entire pot from just a piece of the pottery. Digital data collection: the density plot of a site is determined by the gis which helps us determine what is going on in the site. The most important skill an archaeologist has is observation skills. Field notebooks: a daily journal of their observations- records their decision making process as well as what they observed. Forms are used to help archaeologists find what they are looking for. Plans are important for excavating a site because its for record keeping of how to start excavating the site.
