Document Summary

Kinesiology: study of human motion as it pertains to physical activity. Where human motion is change of position of the body and parts in space and time. Physical activity: any movement carried out by body that requires energy. We bring movement experience from our own lives since we live in our own body. Behavioral sciences: motor control and learning, motor development, sport psychology, sport history, sport sociology, sport philosophy. Physical science: exercise physiology, biomechanics, functional anatomy, kinanthropometry, growth and development, injury etiology and prevention. Human motion caused by levers (bones) accelerated about the axes (joints) Thus human motion is caused by force or muscle contraction. Motion is generated: biomechanically, internal and external forces and their effect on the body, allows analysis of body (qualitative and quantitative) No displacement/stationary: center of mass must be over our base of support. Linear displacement: force pass/applied through center of mass.
