Liberals, socialists, radical: different schools of taught. Focus on gender inequality: relations of domination and subornation, how it makes women"s lives different than men"s. Woman act out roles that men have defined: the scripts are gendered by those with power - men, men define the roles of women. Look at concentration of women in faculties - nursing, arts, education. Law and medicine - growing numbers of women: women are either in extension of their so called duties or where work/schooling does(cid:374)"t co(cid:373)pete with their work at ho(cid:373)e. In med, girls are in family med, obgyn, psychiatry. In law - family, tax, labour, or corporate law. Women aren"t scientists because experiments run 24/7 - compete with home duties. Bei(cid:374)g fe(cid:373)ale should(cid:374)"t e(cid:454)clude the(cid:373) fro(cid:373) a(cid:374)(cid:455)thi(cid:374)g. Women participate in their own defined roles. Acceptance of female role is more costly and dangerous then men to accept men"s roles. Both public and private spheres - work/politics and home.
