Critics said that it can abuse the system as a result people may not be getting full representation that they would had they paid for their own lawyer. Ontario was the rst province to initiate a legal aid program began in 1967. 1973 federal government was to provide funds you have to show that you are providing legal aid services to clients in order to get funding from the federal government.
