Adaptation: economy: production and acquisition of facilities and resources for goal attainment. Goal attainment: policy: organized mobilizing actors and resources, you are actors and your government must mobilize you to do things and from doing certain things. Integration: religion, legal system: reduce conflict, settling disputes, prevent deviation, regardless there will be dispute and we have to have a system to solve these. Pattern variables: values pattern interaction there are core values that control our social institutions and interactions core value of society- concept of fairness core concepts of society= pattern variables: they change over time. I. e. placing women in the kitchen is sexist now but was normal before. Diffuseness: various expectations: help, friendship, exchange, high obligation (promises/oath) Particularism importance: interests of primary group: not interest of all. Ascription: ascribed qualities: rank, age, sex, attributes.
