It is a fascination that seems to be inexplicable to many of us. How often do we think about the reality of such events: while many have experienced homicide only through fictionalized accounts, it is likely that some of us have been affected by the reality of homicide. You may know someone who has killed or someone who has been killed. Should we be secretive or ashamed about our fascination with this topic: this hardly seems necessary given the number of people that share a similar interest, although many might not admit to it.
