Lesbian couples spend more time thinking about their desires and motivation to have kids true. Lesbian couples have more obstacles to consider and overcome if they want to achieve biological parenthood true. Choosing the most effect method may include considering: Legitimize and formalizing their role in the family. Not unlike how some bio dads feel- disconnected, left out. Non bio moms have less societal support and recognition that new bio dads have. Anticipation and devastation for partner during conception. Non-bio moms must adopt child yet cannot prior to birth (in ontario, but it"s being changed now) At risk should something happen to the biological mother during childbirth. Same standards do not exist for straight couples conceiving through known donor. In ontario, known donors can be recognized as parents (case by case basis) Non bio moms report friendships with men important.
