Marxism theory says: prior to capitalism, women and men were equals. Frudel says no; he studied the intuits and other foraging societies and the research concluded that there was no gender equality. In the past doctors decided if an intersex baby was a boy or girl (due to genital and reproductive systems) and told the parents to never tell their child they were born intersex. & gave them hormones to give the children. Nowadays if you are born intersex you can choose to stay the same or chose a gender when you are of a certain age to do so. Treatment of intersex individuals treats their existence as a problem or condition in need of medical intervention. Intersex is a social not a medical problem. Sexuality is a somatic effect created by a cultural effect. Sex/gender is a sociological concept not biological.
