Chain reactions to create all the catecholamines and the end product is determined by the enzyme present. Blood pressure due to constriction of blood vessels. Beta-blockers (b1 and b2) are prescribed to control blood pressure and heart rate problems. Physical stress: pain, restraint, high/low ambient temperature, aggressive attacks. Psychological stress: conditioned fear, conditioned defeat (will respond to defeating animal), subordination (psychosocial negative interactions with others) Both pathways (hpa axis and sympathetic) can stimulate leucocytes to produce cytokines (inlammatory system) More common in those who are stressed.
