No long answer t/f and m/c about 60 questions. Social mind hypothesis: cognition and the mind in particular as groups get bigger the neocortex ratio gets greater. We compare these two for 2 reasons: both sets of species exhibit complex cognitive abilities, complex cognitive abilities are the result of convergent evolution (of analogous traits, good evidence of adaptation. Cant have imagination & prospection without mental representations. But now the dilemma becomes, if animals have mental representations. Crow is trained on 8 steps individually and then tested to see if they have the memory span to remember how to get to the food. Squirrels don"t have the mental representing ability, cashing, it gets food, hides it, but will hide in more than one location, now always remembering where they put it. Will look where it looks like they would hide it.
