Di erential psychology: study of other forms of individual di erences in addition to personality traits: stability over time, consistency across situation. Rank order: with a change in a given trait, a relative di erence remains between individuals person-situation interactions: selection, evocation, manipulation: strong station almost all people react similarly, situation speci city speci c reaction to speci c situation. Can be detected via:1) infrequent scales, 2) duplicate questions: faking on questionnaires.
