Gender typing: the process by which kids get not only a gender idenity, but the moives, values and behaviours considered appropriate in their culture for members of their sex. A society"s gender role standards relect how people of certain genders are supposed to behave and their stereotypes (textbook) Normally prescribe girls to be more nurturing, to be in more caring roles. One should be cooperaive, kind, nurturing and sensiive to other"s needs.
