A way of learning about the world through collecing observaions, developing theories to explaining them and using the theories to make predicions. Dynamic interacion between hypothesis tesing and construcion of theories. Hypothesis: testable predicion about processes that can be observed and measured can be supported or rejected ( do not need to prove) Pseudoscience: an idea presented as science but does not actually uilize basic principles of scieniic thinking or procedure (ex. Theory: explanaion for a broad range of observaions that also generates new hypothesis and integrates numerous indings into a coherent whole. Theories are general principles or explanaion of some aspects of the world or human behaviour whereas hypothesis are speciic predicions that can test he theory or speciic parts of it. Not the same as opinions of beliefs.
