Survey: a method of gathering information about many people"s thought or behaviour through self-report: eg: telephone survey on the attitude of the people working to make politicians. Purpose: to observe the association between two variables (the extent to which they co- occur) 17 sept 2015: eg: depression is associated with low self esteem, but we need to figure out which one leads to which.
