Basis for canadian politics is the constitution (basis of all types of govt: cryptocracy - ex: Image: queen singing control of constitution over to canada = the start of a free/independent canada. Canada never before been independent and sovereign because govt didn"t have the power to change the constitution (whether federal, provincial, etc. ) British parliament always had the final say = large process to amend constitution (canadian govt needs all 10 provinces to agree before sending proposal to london) A country cannot be a country if not independent; dependent = colony. Minor adjustments are no more feasible than major ones. The constitution is: -a country"s highest law: violation results in jail, fine, punishment (death in canada previously) A record of a country"s history: both good and bad.
