Intellect (buddhi intellect our awakened view of things) Sense are dependent on objects of sense and can therefore be deceived. Since the mind is higher, it can understand and go higher because the mind reasons. The senses could just tell us what the objects of senses are its dependent on them. The mind isn"t dependent on them it can judge them etc 14 arise, awake, obtain your gifts and understand them. Senses a dream like state where we just barley understand things and see things as different from one another. Pg. 13 know the self (atman) as riding in a chariot. Know the intellect as the chariot driver and the mind as the reigns. The objects of sense what they range over. The self-combined with the senses in mind we call the enjoyer. We need to use our mind to control our senses and the objects of senses so when we see things we know how to evaluate them.
