If it"s wrong to commit suicide because we have a duty and philosophy is the practicing of death (virtual suicide) then why isn"t philosophy wrong (pg, 16 68b) Any man who resents death doesn"t love wisdom philosophy doesn"t love wisdom, they love the body. Courage isn"t the lack of fear as much as it"s the willingness to overcome it, don"t regard pain as true evil and pleasure as something uniquely good. The quality of moderation, treat your passions with distant and restrain. Most people fear death-others face it every day, if your acting out of fear you"re not courageous. If you don"t eat a ton of candy only because you don"t want to get sick, then you"re not moderate. People who are at the level of appetite have less courage, some who doesn"t think death is terrible will be the most moderate and the most courageous, they are lovers of wisdom.
