John rawls: put in a theory that others can respond to. All democratic things in the world have all these liberties in their constitution. And attached to offices and positions open to all under conditions of fair equality of opportunity (open to every one). Everyone applies for a job one gets the job, makes more, and so those who make more must make it equal to those who don"t liberty matters more, justice comes second, opportunity last. Some people are just born with better opportunities than others. He requires equality of opportunity, but denies that the people who fill the position are thus entitled to a greater share of resources in society. Just because you make more doesn"t mean you"re entitled to things. Soccer player earnings vs. doctor earnings, this is not okay: no single individual is prohibited from some kind of employment based on what we call, morally arbitrary factors, equality of opportunity privileges others more: intelligence.
