Helps prevent a variety of cancers: breast cancer, colon cancer. Eat well, avoid smoking and sun exposure, and get a good sleep. Improves itness: endurance, strength, lexibility, body composiion. Improves stress, anxiety, can promote beter mental health. During pregnancy: helps maintain mom"s itness, muscle tone, helps control weight gain, decreased risk of caesarean birth, shorter labour, improved post-natal recovery. Only 22% of canadian adults are physically acive (1 in 5). This year"s grade remains a d- because most children and youth in canada are not meeing the canadian physical acivity guidelines.
