What does revolution look like in this context: revolts were often lead by slaves the recently came over from africa, these slaves lived in fear which gave them reason not to revolt, repercussions would be death, ex. There was a successful non-violent revolt which cause these men to be put to death. You could run away: people used religion to help with their life as a slave.
