The pre-islamic middle east order: the major developments in civilizations in the first 6 centuries of the common era (ce, as opposed to the christian-centric bc and ad): Rise of christianity and the institutions surrounding it (the church): Absorption of christianity into the roman empire. Organized religious traditions which demanded personal-individual adherence, not tribal or civic with corpus of sacred scriptures and world beyond death.
