Humans possessed an intelligence that was above most other species very early on: we developed tools. 2. 5 million years ago (when we were homo erectus habilis) 200,000 years ago (we became homo sapiens: we domesticated fire. 700,000 years ago: we had ecological knowledge as hunter-gatherers. Knowing what was safe to eat or things that could be used if placed in an unknown area. Have spent 99% of our time on earth as hunter-gatherer(cid:859)s. We are no longer raised in it so we no longer know about it. Lots of animals use tools: otters, gorillas, other forms of monkeys.
