The rules of conduct recognized with respect to a particular class of human actions or a particular group, culture, etc. (medical ethics, research ethics) Abuse of power happens in every field, but we are doing a better job of educating people on ethical conduct and are doing better at policing and correcting ethical misconduct. Ethics: standards of behaviour developed within a cultural group to promote survival of that group. Counter control*test: influence controlee has on controller by virtue of access to rein forcers. In a democratic society, voters vote for elected officials. 2 assumptions regarding the systematic application of learning principles for behaviour modification: behaviour can be controlled, it is desirable to achieve certain behavioural objectives. Ex students who work with autism, teaching these people to use appropriate social cues but question why we aren"t working on changing society to be more tolerant.
