Ex. weekend party, individual person spills drink on somebody else, you start to think what caused that, you observe the consequences. Research is done everyday through interactions and observations however social science research is a lot more systematic. Questions about what occurred and what caused it, hypothesis is made and then you confirm or rule out the hypothesis. Conclusion is drawn from the trial and error. Kim cattrall (sex in the city) might say she is an actress and an expert in. I believe it is true because the expert says it is true other areas such as in sexuality (wrote books) Dr. phil"s diet book, when he is a psychologist. We can consider his expertise in the behaviour of eating but his knowledge of nutrition should be evaluated. Suzanne somers (actress) talking about chemotherapy being pointless and writing a book about it.
