Adopted children"s iq"s are associated with their biological parents, and not their adopted parents: their scores with their biological parents get stronger as they get older. Correlation is stronger with biological parents: suggests biology is most important. Iq"s have increased steadily from one generation to the next: i. e. improved education, nutrition and technology. More stimulation contributes to increased iq: children from well organized homes with play materials have high test scores, low income children who didn"t attend preschool lack readiness skills for success in kindergarten. Children from disadvantaged backgrounds adopted into highly educated families score higher than their biological bother on iq tests. Change could be due to enriched and stimulating learning environment.
