Zeus visits semele in disguise, carrying on an elicit afair. Hera visits semile in disguise and plants a seed of doubt in semele"s mind. She plants in her mind that her lover is hiding his true form. Driven by her curiosity, semele tricks zeus into revealing his true form. Reluctantly, zeus radiated such ferocity that to see him with mortal eyes would bring destrucion. Zeus, seeing to his horror that his beloved semele is burning alive, noices she is pregnant. Plunges his arm into her womb and seizes out his unborn child, cuts open is upper thigh and sews the child into his leg.
