There are other aspects of software production that should be demo"ed - functionality is only the beginning! This, of course, depends on your audience -- know the audience! Show the range of the design aspects for someone trying to break your program. This will highlight what your code can do! If you have a big example, let it run while you talk about other things. Time for the test drive from hell . Letting the customer drive shows confidence and complete control of the process and knowledge of the system. Deb is going to put the program through it"s paces (release your inner child!) Deb has seen two demos, where she didn"t see the demos run. When going to an actually project demo, assume they don"t have anything. Bring a router, bring cables, bring everything! Your demo should not be an ad hoc affair -- everything should be planned!
