Goal is to generate lots of ideas. Have fun producing ideas to solve problems. No evidence it produces more solutions than individual work. Four rules to follow: quantity will lead to quality, don"t (cid:271)e (cid:272)riti(cid:272)al. Don"t judge ideas right away, wait till end: welcome unusual ideas. If problem is large there will be too many useless ideas. Provide information to participants about the meeting. Provide time limit to force people to focus. Have person writing down ideas repeat information to make sure they wrote it correctly. Give all participants paper and 10 minutes to generate ideas then pass papers around to build on each others ideas. In all kinds of brainstorming methods withhold judgement till the end. Eventually you want to rank the best ideas and decide how to evaluate them. You want to generate ideas without talking as well. Building something to imitate the product you want to put out there.
