Male flower + female flower + same plant = monecious (ex maize) Male flower + female flower + different plant= dioecious (pappya) Grass flower: stigma large and feathery (there are small flowers called florals, rhizomes and stolens. There are edible grasses (cereals, fruit is called grain) humans modified grasses, so the tillers form at the same time, non shattering=major cereal crops. Maize = corn (cultivated) corn and legumes together (so the corn can take the nitrogen from the legumes) corn is different because male and female are separated in the same plant (monecious). Mellons, pumpkins (female flowers 1 plant, male plant) another plant (monosexual (m or f)) but usually flowers are bisexual. Hermaphrodite: bisexual (flower has both stigmens and stigmas in the same flower. Female and male flowers are in different places = dioecious. Papaya has 3 types of flower hermaphrodite, but some papaya only male or only female.
