Document Summary

Escaped proteins reach the er in (copi-coated) retrograde transport vesicles. November 14, 2016: fusion of vesicle to target membrane. Clathrin-coated vesicles move from tgn to other vesicles (eg. lysosomes, endosomes, plant vacuoles) Ccv adaptor proteins between clathrin lattice and the cytosolic face of the vesicle. Selectively sort cargo at tgn, cell membrane & endosomal compartments. Sequence of events in the formation of a ccv at the surface of the plasma membrane. The cargo receptors extend through the membrane and interact with the cargo molecules in the cytoplasm. As the process continues, the vesicles round up and pinch off. By accumulation of proteins a piece of the membrane can separate in a circle. The proteins orientation with respect to the cytoplasm and the interior membrane-bound compartments is maintained during its travel through the endomembrane system. This process is exocytosis excreting something from the cell. Digestive organelles: 25 nm 1000 nm.
