Adv: measures the response in the organ directly. Dis: lose central control of organ-hormonal and neuronal influences. Genetic models, mice, may stimulate specific target sub- group in humans. Maintains all hormonal, neuronal and hemodynamic influences that influence target tissue. Dis: animal models may not adequately simulate human disease. You can use ko, ki or conditional ko/ki genes by injecting directly into fertilized ovum & implanting into pseudo-pregnant mouse. Dis: expensive, long, limited choice of dosages, and routes of administration.
