Deals with interacion between poliics, policy, history, economics and social insituions: important in anthropology to get a fuller understand, looking at world systems, macro history, not the same as historical paricularism. Recent examples: life and debt (documentary), paul farmer. Poliics and economics part of the same cultural domain. Anthropology as the dialecical tacking between local and global. Creaion capitalism: a made of capitalism in which labor is understood in terms of creaivity so that producion is understood as creaion. Market capital: money that capitalists invest in order to make a proit, money, factory buildings, machinery, sotware, not necessarily tangible. Sociocultural capital: pierre bordu, wriing skills, vocabulary, war veteran who has medals, status, can aford certain advantages but do not necessarily transport to wealth in capitalism. California ideology: producion is also consumpion, already a consumer, pay extra for sl to make more things, making and consuming at the same ime because they"re buying.
