Processes of change: internal and external motivations for change, cultures are always interacting, change happens, what is the source of the new? Intense - 1 group changes more than the other: trading with people with much more power (europeans, they embrace the fur trade and the accompanying prosperity, animals change from a food source to a commodity, assimilation, greater intent to change subordinate culture, subordinate group is required to change.
