Immediate impact of puberty: puberty and self esteem, may be some decline for girls, usually only if many transitions simultaneously, effects are usually temporary. No relationship in case of boys unless its super late. If found it is early in puberty: evidence is the relation is not very strong, if relation found it is in early puberty (more rapid fluctuation, changes in daily activities as likely to cause changes in moodiness. There is still fluctuation but the context impacts the moodiness too: puberty and family relations, pubertal status, regardless of age, is related to parent-adolescent conflict and increased adolescent autonomy. The conflict is usually more with the mother as she is more involved: seems to be increase in negatives but not a decrease in positives . Increase in conflicts but the preceding relationship still exists. Early versus late maturation difference between girls and boys.
