Document Summary

Some populations are completely cut off from everyone and the forest is their whole universe. They have to take things from the forest and in order to worship it they play the instruments at night to awaken it and in a spiritual way the forest will heal itself. They"re not able to repay the forest specifically because they have nothing to give the forest that the forest needs. Play the music to restore balance with the forest. Writing it down is not an essential part of composition- you can have a composition without writing it down. One line of a lyric with some melody behind it and they build the music behind this composition. A composition is a creation of music that you"re figuring out beforehand. They will repeat the short line of composition over and over again. They"ll have one group singing the composition and then another group improvising on top of the composition being sung.
