After wwii, delegates from communist parties meet, incl: soviet union, poland, yugoslavia, bulgaria, romania, hungary, Andrei zhdanov was an ideologist of soviet party and party secretary, close ties to stalin: persuaded members to agree to doctrine, which divided world in. Ussr, incl. science, philosophy, etc. , cementing the belief that communism is objectively good and western imperialism is objectively bad. The communist party did their best to remove even the most abstract western qualities, such as the influence of western literature in russian literature, denying the western origin of necessary equipment/machinery, scientific discoveries, etc. In the later years of the doctrine"s practice, the policy contained anti- semitic overtones, as jews and cosmopolites are associated with the west. As a result, development of soviet culture plummets. Created cominform: information bureau near belgrade: spread ideology through newspaper for a lasting peace, for a people"s democracy , revival of comintern, ensured that european communists conformed to soviet policies.
