Represent the end of the early medieval period. Is a bacteria known as yersinia pestis that was carried by the asian black rat. Transmitted from black rats to humans via oriental rat flea (xenopsylla cheopis). The simple act of coughing or sneezing would transmit the disease. In the late medieval period no one knew this: spread from asia to europe via silk road. The black death was the most severe in italy. December the 13 of 1347 is when it begins and moves north and dies in december of 1351 the black death is the period and the bubonic plague is the disease, they are not synonym terms. It becomes less violent as time goes on and moves further north. The disease doesn"t do well in cold weather. The cold weather is assisting in it dying off faster: death in 2-5 days.
