All the diferent races are very separate from each other: except when gimli and legolas come together at the end and become very close friends and overlook their diferences. Aragorn names his sword andrul, the flame of the west. Galadriel and tom bombadil"s wife are blonde and beauiful and have lengthy descripions. Arwen has brown hair and a very short descripion. Feels like the elven women are another race, very out there, on a separate level from where the men are. They do not converse much with the male elves. Or perhaps removing women from the world of adventure that the men discover. Frodo in the barrowdowns dyscatastrophe, eucatastrophe when bombadil saves him, recovery at the meal ater. Tom is ancient, and allowed to be ancient. Goldberry is ancient as well, but she has to be depicted as youthful and younger. They live in this space out of ime and perhaps the space they live in is the garden.
