The training process: Planning for strengthpower training in track and field.
The paper investigates how athletes adapt different physiological processes and
performance from training. The athletes have different characteristics both morphological and
genetic that leads to different adaptation from how the training is delivered to the athletes. The
processes through which the coaches orders, delivers and doses the exercise to improve strength
and power of the athletes determines the successfulness of the training. The mode of training is
known as the programming tactics (DeWeese, Hornsby and Stone). The paper concentrated on
how training could be delivered to the players to improve the strength and power of the field and
track. The study revealed that the higher the volume of training, the more the players will have a
higher power. According to the paper, increased training would increase the performance of the
body improving composition, muscle cross section area and the capacity of the work done. Low
volume training, on the other hand, will result in the poor development of the body parts and low
performance. Programs that are highly associated with physical exercises will improve the body
functions and maximize the speed of the athletes, strength and the peaking power. The paper also
revealed that training the athletes with higher power is simple as they are able to perform hard
tasks during training. The volume training is an important part of increasing the strength of the
training ground as athletes who have to train on a higher volume have enough energy to train
