Youth are generally seen as unengaged and apathetic with regards to official politics. Voting percentages in youth are low in canada, the united states and the united kingdom. Youth are more interested in sports, or cultural organizations than political parties. Involvement with global, national, regional and local issues at the same time. Young environmentalist are motivated by a number of factors. The documentary is clearly made with some kind of collaboration from hasbro. It presents a very rosy picture of brony culture. There are clearly some questionable aspects of the fandom. The creation of highly sexualized images of the ponies. Debates within the fandom about whether these things are appropriate. Bronies essentially take the products of culture industries and misuse them. From a show for little girls they are building adult identities. It is about more than just liking a show. They internalize the values that the show advocates. They take action based on the values they interpret.
