○ Wealthy classes use their positions for personal gain without regard
to law
■ Because they have this position, they are able gain without
regard to the law
■ Realms within crime and criminality is not the same as the
dishonestly of the wealthy - THEIR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY WAS
HIDDEN
○ White collar criminals
■ Mainly dealt with by civil law, hidden from criminologists and
society
■ Cause high financial cost
■ Damage social institutions and social relations
