A set of individuals who have at least one of the following characteristics: Direct interactions with each other over a period of time. Joint membership in a social category based on sex, race, or other attributes. A shared, common fate, identity, or set of goals. Groups vary to the extent that they"re seen as distinct entities and it"s clear who is and is not a part of that group. Groups are over-concerned with themselves oftentimes they make decisions and do things that are far worse than what anyone would commit on their own. People are either at their absolute best or absolute worse in being a group. Some groups seem more group-like than others or have more distinct entities. An assembly of people engaging in a common activity but having little direct interaction with each other. People just in the same space ex: people at a concert, people in the same gym.
