PEDS100 Lecture Notes - Lecture 35: Hyaline Cartilage, Pia Mater, Thyroid Cartilage
Document Summary
Peds100 lecture exam review: elevation or depression-literally moving up or down, abduction/protraction or adduction/retraction-literally moves side to side, lateral/upwards rotation or medial/downwards rotation-lateral is where the lower angle moves out and medial is where the angle comes inwards. Filium terminale in the inferior extension of the pia mater that anchors the spinal cord to the coccyx. Tricuspid to the pulmonary semilunar to the bicuspid to the aortic semilunar. The epiglottis is not hyaline cartilage, it is attached anteriorly to the thyroid cartilage and serves to route food and liquids into the esophogus, and is leaf shaped. The teres major is posterior but does lateral rotation because it wraps around the arm anteriorly therefore pulling it inwards. Focus on main first primary roles of each part of the brain, check which part connects with which (focus mainly on cerebrum because we focused the most on it)
