Make - to make products which are used. Waste - when the products are no liner wanted or used they are discarded. Waste and pollution are consequences of decisions made at the design stage where most of the environmental impact is determined. Change our mindset see waste as a design aw to introduce new materials and technology so that waste and pollution is not created to begin with. Circular solution example: the result is a factory that doesn"t just produce sugar, but 12 di erent saleable products, from valuable chemicals to food for animals and humans. The aim is to rebuild soil quality and natural capital, rather than deplete it. Potentially harmful chemical fertilisers were replaced by a unique integrated organic. Pesticides were exchanged for a natural pest and disease management system, which uses naturally resistant crop varieties, a biological control programme, and cultural control methods to inhibit pests and weeds. Products and materials must be kept in the economy.
