Composition the placement or arrangement of visual elements in a work of art. Nd a composition is essentially a work of art. Good design controlled chaos: taking elements that could go anywhere and trying to control it trying to simply put together elements for a speci c feeling and a speci c reason and creating something speci c. Asymmetrical layout uses contrast, hierarchy of scale, activates white space, is balanced have more movement, direction, rhythm to them. Pleasing compositions symmetry: symmetry is a little bit boring we tend to want to make something symmetrical asymmetry: not alike on both sides but is still pleasing to look at. The golden ratio/ the fibonacci sequence: about focal point and breaking up the composition ratio in a composition that appeals to us see the ratio and placement of elements. Grids used as a guide to create order out of the chaos that we have.
