In di erent contexts the same pathways play di erent roles. This is being said din relation to the fact that many ligands can activate the same pathway at times. Leptin acts on levin receptor which associates with molecule called jak. One of the pathways activated by leptin involves a family of signal transduction actuations of transcription called stat factors. Through which they can bind to phosphor tyrosine reissues in activated leptin receptors. Rceoetor dimerizes and recruit jak audio. The phsphptyroisne receptors on lepton receptors can bind to sh@ domains on stat factors. Stats dimerize - phospho-tyrosine with sh2 domain. Stta factor is phosphorylated by the leptin receptor two p-stats dimerize. Not enough leptin means in mice, obese, In humans, leptin alone cannot be utilized to revert obesity. Leptin mediated activation of leptin receptor can also activate insulin receptor.
