Wilson created a document to make the world better for after the war. A world body that would deal with issues through discussion, debate, questions and not through fighting. If two countries make a deal, the rest of the world should know about it and should know mostly what was included in the deal. All countries should have the freedom to sail the ocean and not be afraid of being sunk. The more trade between countries, the less probability for war. Believed that countries didn"t need more than enough for self-defence. Germans make the decision to attack u. s. ships. If north america stayed out of the war, germany would likely win. Between feb and april, 6 or 7 american ships were sunk. April 6 this was enough to convince the u. s. to enter the war. Wilson was looking at the war as a way to foster democracy across the world and as the war to end all wars .
