Agents of gender socialization (ex. parents, toys/ games the things we have, media, pop culture, education and school systems, companies that gender their products, doctors, scientists, professionals, religious / faith - based institutions, peer groups) Fathers socialize sons and daughters specifically (girls can only be tomboys until they reach puberty when there are supposed to be more appealing for men) Father react more negatively to sons in cross gender play and boys believe fathers would do so. Fathers spend more time with sons (engage in more physical play) Mother spend more time with children, more involved in daily care.
