Much of how we feel is an interpretation of our behaviour (e. g. , the close-talking salesman: sales people trick you into thinking you like them by standing really close to you. Explicit attitudes (our evaluations of which we are aware) Implicit attitudes (our other evaluations, which tend to be automatic and operate below our awareness: e. g. , racist attitudes. Your implicit attitude: friske, 2008: brain activation: avoidance, disgust, when shown homeless people, brain scan showed feelings of disgust and avoidance.
